Product Category Rule Committee Info

Committee Mission:

The Product Category Rule Committee supports increasing the number, quality and accessibility of product category rules and environmental product declarations.  

History:

IERE partnered with the US Environmental Protection Agency, Region X, ASTM International and others to design a scalable infrastructure to develop Product Category Rules, starting with the building industry.
As a first step, three webinars were offered on LCA and Environmental Product Declarations. More information on the series and registration is available by clicking on the image below.

Then an invited workshop was held on November 4th & 5th, 2009, to draft the preliminary organizational format. The results of the meeting are summarized in the workshop notes. the visioning exercise notes, and the Workshop Executive Summary.
