But on the other hand I would like to know a bit more in detail your references for LCI modelling especially of landfills: Nearly all examples you give result in a zero-leaching of heavy metalls from landfills. Data I have got from German landfills show a wide range of heavy metal leaching (see slide 18 of my parallel presentation: "LCA for Environmental Management and Eco-design in the Electronics Industry ..."). Background for my interest in LCI data for waste management technologies is my work for the electronics sector: If there would be no e.g. lead leaching from landfills why bother about lead free electronics, why establishing a recycling directive for electronics scrap in Europe etc.? There are a couple of people lobbying against the "lead free" topic with such arguments - unfortunately as far as I know there is no input-output model for landfills which show what happens with electronics scrap.
