Committee Mission:

The education committee is tasked with providing educational content to the LCA community.  The committee seeks to keep abreast of the latest changes in the industry and make sure these are communicated effectively and appropriately to the ACLCA member’s and the industry as a whole.  Members of the education committee typically donate about 5 hours per month for the tasks involved.

Activities:

  • Online textbook for LCA: Defining appropriate LCA rules is a necessary component to ensure that an LCA has been completed according to the standard.  It is hoped that an online textbook will aid members with both the LCAs their companies produce and in comparing their products’ environmental impact with those of their competitors.

History:

The Educational Committee was formed in 2010 to first help the ACLCA with content communication. It has since served as a key committee for the industry, providing members with necessary resources to ensure a standard is created for the LCA lifecycle.
